Economics' annual list of the 150 Best Financial Advisers
for Doctors was compiled based on recommendations made by
doctors and physician groups. The criteria the magazine
considered included the percentage of physician clients
comprising the firm's client list, as well as the professional
achievements of the financial advisers. They also favored
advisers who limit the amount of compensation earned from
commissions and gave special notice to "fee-only"
firms like Leonetti & Associates, LLC who do not accept
commissions. The magazine also reviewed federal regulatory
databases, such as the SEC, to eliminate advisers with any
reportable disciplining events.
